ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS

Created for Animal New York, Animals Eating Animals is a six-episode, weekly webseries that follows the culinary adventures of Jeffrey Ryan Creager, chef de cuisine at The Beagle (formerly of ‘inoteca and Betto), and Jan Warren, head bartender at Dutch Kills. The pair ride their bikes through New York’s boroughs seeking out the strangest, most interesting meat dishes the city has to offer.

UPDATE: ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS premiered on U.K. television in February 2016 on Community Channel, which is watched by over 12 million people annually.

ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS – "EPISODE ONE: FOIE GRAS DONUTS"

In the first episode they travel to Bed Stuy’s Do or Dine to overindulge on the signature dish, the Foie Gras Donut, as prepared by the eatery’s own Justin Warner, current winner of Food Network Star.

ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS – "EPISODE TWO: PIG FACE"

The second installment finds our boys downing an entire pig’s face at The Cannibal in Gramercy.

ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS – "EPISODE THREE: DIM SUM"

The third chapter in our ongoing saga takes the guys to Congee on the Bowery to sample a veritable pu-pu platter of exotic dim sum.

ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS – "EPISODE FOUR: PHAAL CURRY CHALLENGE"

For the fourth episode, Jeff and Jan dropped in on Brick Lane Curry House and competed in the East Village eatery’s notorious Phaal Curry Challenge.

ANIMALS EATING ANIMALS – "EPISODE FIVE: LAMB BRAIN, HEART AND TESTICLES"

For episode five, Jeff makes a brief stop at Jan’s stomping grounds, Dutch Kills for some takeaway booze and then they quickly move on to their ultimate destination: Kabab Café in Astoria. It’s there that the duo feast on lamb testicles, brain, and heart as prepared by Chef Ali.

For the final episode (of season 1), Jeff and Jan changed it up and threw a dinner party for their friends. It’s sweetbread tacos for everyone, Bushwick style.
